Incorporating the formulation of Chlor-Clean, utilising the chlorine donor Troclosene sodium (NaDCC) and an anionic surfactant, the dry Biohazard Wipes offer dual-use benefits for modern healthcare facilities.

For many years since the successful introduction of Chlor-Clean Detergent Sanitiser Tablets, our customers have been asking for a wipe with all the advantages of the Chlor-Clean solution (using NaDCC)  in a convenient wipe form. Unfortunately, due to the instability of liquid chlorine it has not been possible to produce a ‘wet’ Chlor-Clean wipe; however by integrating new technology with an established formula we have developed our dry Biohazard Wipes incorporating the Chlor-Clean formulation that has dual purpose applications that will benefit the modern healthcare establishment.

Dual Use

Guest Medical Biohazard Wipes can be used both for blood & blood-stained body fluid spillages as well as general environmental disinfection.

When placed directly onto a blood or blood-stained body fluid spillage, each dry wipe will both absorb the spillage (up to 30ml per wipe) and disinfect with 10,000 ppm available chlorine strength. This makes the Guest Medical Biohazard Wipes the first wipe product to fully comply with UK Department of Health guidance for dealing with blood and blood-stained body fluid spillages and will be of particular help to busy ward staff for dealing with small spills and minor accidents.

When moistened, the wipe can be used for general environmental disinfection in the same manner as if using a Chlor-Clean solution. This is particularly useful for patient associated equipment such as commodes. The Chlor-Clean formulation allows surfaces to be cleaned and disinfected in one simple wipe action.

Independently tested and proven to conform to BS EN Standards

Guest Medical Biohazard Wipes have been extensively tested by an independent UKAS accredited laboratory to ensure a rapid kill of bacteria, pathogenic yeasts, bacterial spores (including C.difficile) and viruses. Standard tests passed include BS EN 16615: 2015, BS EN 14476 and BS EN 13704. Copies of all testing reports may be obtained from our offices.
